on my wishlist....

I saw these online and fell in love with them:
These are the cutest way to keep track of your keys, so much better than the boring hooks I've been using.
You can pick them up at the container store, I've never been before, but I'm planning a trip soon in search of these little guys!

our house progress....

About 2 months ago we purchased our first home. These are the first pics I was able to take, and these are from about a month ago. I'll keep you updated on it's progress.

Our bathroom with no shower, weird wallpaper and no plumbing

getting ready for a shower install

this is the area I will be using for my closet, the paneling has got to go!

Here is where I will put the clothes hanging bar, i searched and searched and found a company that specializes in brackets to hang a closet bar on an angled ceiling. If it works out well I'll provide links!

This is the dining room, this room wasn't too bad, it needs some painting and pictures on the wall to make it our own.

Put on your sunglasses! This will be the hubby's entertainment room. This will be the first room we paint, the green is so much brighter than the pics show, and it needs to go.... fast!

This is a really bad shot of the kitchen, sorry. This is after the cabinets, countertops and sink was installed. The first time we saw the house, there was just an empty space, it's come a long way.

This will be the living room, it's almost ready for paint. (that's our tub and shower on the left) I love this room, It's so much longer than the living room in our rental, It's big enough to break into two smaller spaces, which is what I plan on doing. One side will be tv and games (wii & xbox), the other side will be a reading area, with all my books in one place.

It's a work in progress, keep checking back for more pics!

dog collection

This piece was purchased at a thrift store. It's a trinket box with a boston terrier head. There were a couple of repairs made to the box, but I was absolutely in love with it the minute I saw it. I love pieces that have boston terriers or pugs on them (even though I own chihuahuas).

dog collection

I plan on making this a regular column, where I will feature a piece from my collection and give a little backstory if I have one. This featured piece is one of my favorites:

This is a pewter bowl from the Mayflower German Shorthaired Pointer Club. I found this at a thrift store and it seriously made my entire weekend!  I contacted the club and they told me that it is presented at their dog show, and this specific size would go to the category of "winners".

Meet Jordan

Jordan is our "little man", here are some fun facts about him:

- His favorite toy is his "patriot ball"
- He is a little chicken, he's scared of the washer, refrigerator, and toaster oven
- Jordan is a rescue, and we're so lucky to have him as part of our family
- He is 3, but still acts like a puppy!
